West Tamar 2022 Youth Survey Snapshot

shaping the future

Council's Youth Services Team have successfully surveyed 563 young people across the region despite difficult circumstances surrounding access to schools and student attendance due to Covid. Following the survey, the team consulted with students from Riverside High, Launceston Christian School and Exeter High about key themes, hearing what their priorities would be on topical issues related to the comments sections in the survey.

The Snapshot represents a preliminary report of what young people have said about what life is like in the West Tamar, with a range of ideas, advice and suggestions about what Council could do in the future. The Snapshot contributes to the development of the 2023-2026 West Tamar Youth Strategy which is currently being drafted in consultation with the Youth Advisory Council. We look forward to their innovative ideas and how it can supplement Council’s Strategic Plan.
